Arrive at the Auckland Airport and receive warm welcome from our official representative. Upon meeting, take a comfortable seat in the private coach for transfer to the pre booked hotel. Clients can also avail the other option in which they will have to collect the rental car from the Airport and have to self-drive to the hotel.
Have a delicious breakfast and board your comfortable coach upon pickup from your hotel in Auckland, then settle in for the approximate 3-hour drive to Paihia, the starting point for your Bay of Islands tour. En route to your Northland destination, you will pass through the Harbour Bridge and along the Hibiscus Coast. En route enjoy the mesmerizing views of the mighty Kauri Trees. The journey continues, travelling through Whangarei- Northland's only major city and port, before arriving in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
On arrival, disembark for the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds and learn how the nation’s founding document — the Treaty of Waitangi — was signed between the British Crown and 43 Maori chiefs. Here you can have a glimpse of the copy of 1840 treaty on a tour of the Waitangi Treaty House museum which was later erected as a private home.
In the afternoon, after the lunch, board a high-speed catamaran for your Bay of Islands sightseeing cruise. Zip across the waves past sandy beaches and rocky outcrops as your captain navigates toward the Cape Brett Lighthouse. Upon reaching Motukokako Island, make the thrilling pass through the Hole in the Rock at Cape Brett and continue on to view the majestic Grand Cathedral Cave. Focus your camera on an array of wildlife including possible whales, seals, dolphins, penguins and other marine creatures. The crew will simultaneously share with you the enthralling local history and ecological features of the varied island landscape.
Later return to Paihia to rejoin the coach for the journey back to Auckland, ending your full-day tour with hotel drop-off.
After the breakfast, it’s time to take the North Island adventure to new heights on the incredible stretch of coastline between the Bay of Islands and Cape Reigna. Upon pickup from your centrally located Paihia hotel or the Paihia waterfront oard comfortable custom-built Waverider coach. The first stop on your route is the ancient Puketi Forest. Under the guidance of an expert, stroll along the walkway that twists through the kauri forest and learn about the 1,000-year-old trees from informational panels located throughout the interpretive walk.
Next stop is Houhora Harbour to enjoy at the Houhora Game Fishing Club. Then it’s onward to Cape Reinga to see the Tasman Sea merge with the Pacific Ocean at the Cape Reinga Lighthouse, situated at the northernmost tip of New Zealand. Continuing back down the Northland coast, stop at the Te Paki Sand Dunes. Hop onto a sandboard for a thrilling downhill ride on the Quicksand Stream.
Back aboard the Waverider to head south along Ninety Mile Beach- a striking stretch of unpopulated shoreline where you can stroll and dig for shellfish. The full-day Northland tour ends with the return drive to your starting point in Paihia.
Have breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Explore Bay of Islands at your own pace and all by yourself. During the noon you will have to travel back to Auckland. Spend overnight in a hotel at Auckland
After your hotel breakfast check out of the hotel and either in the departure transfer or the return of your rental car travel to Auckland airport to board the return flight back home.
