Iceland enjoys a surprisingly warm and pleasant summer. It is the native´s favorite time of the year because one can easily explore the vastness and pureness of highlands and other uninhabited areas. The days are never-ending and strolling past the “Midnight Sun” is a unique experience. Summers also offer a great choice of activities for visitors like mountain biking, diving, cliff hanging, kayaking or glacier-skiing. You can also go for boat safari to spot the magnificent whales. And of course this is the favorite time to spot wild flowers and the beautiful ‘Puffins’.
Day 1 : Geo-Thermal Pools
Group arrives in the day and on the way to the hotel from airport, we stop at the Blue Lagoon for 2-3 hours. The Geothermal pools helps you get relaxed after the flight. You can enjoy shopping at the Blue Lagoons stores which has Icelandic clothes and great skin-care products. Drive toward the Golden Circle and the group spends the night in a traditional Icelandic Bungalow. Drive: 50 Kms
Day 2 : In and out Golden Circle
It will be an early rise for the group as we go to marvel the Golden Circle. From there we will head south where we will witness the Majestic waterfall, Seljalandsfoss. Drive to the destination, where the group will spend the night, close to Jokulsarlon, Vík and Höfn. Drive: 362 Kms/Approximate time of travel 4.30 hours
Day 3:Heading towards Mývatn
We start early for a long and exciting day towards Mývatn. Our first stop will be at Jokulsarlon. From here we will drive along the East Coast of Iceland by passing amazing sceneries and dynamic mountain views. We do have a dinner option at Egillstadir; from there we head towards the incredible Mývatn to spend the next three days. Drive: Drive 550 kms/Approximate time of travel 7 hours
Day 4: Dettifoss
Tour begins around Mývatn for the next three days. We get to visit Dettifoss, the biggest waterfall of Europe and Queen of all mountains of Iceland, Herdubreid. There is much to explore in this part of the island.Drive: 150 Kms
Day 5 : In and out Mývatn
Representative picks you up in the early morning. We go for whale watching and observe the gentle giants in their natural habitat. It is an experience in itself to watch the biggest mammals up close. We will also enjoy bathing in cave cracks that day. Drive: 100 Kms
Day 6 : Mývatn
fter spending half a day in Mývatn, the Representative drives the group back to Reykjavík. During the trip we will stop at many different, stunning places like Godafoss, Akureyri and other destination to enjoy the spectacular views. The group spends the night at a good hotel. Drive: 600 Kms / Approximate time of travel 6 hours
Day 7 : Back to capital city
Once back in the capital city the group will have plenty of activities to choose from, including swimming in geothermal waters for relaxation, shopping and visiting the local museums. The group goes back to the hotel where they can rest and pack up for their flight the next day.
Day 8 : Flight back
The troop flies back home with the sweet memories of Iceland.

14.Iceland has excellent infrastructure for disabled. All the government buildings, museums, malls, shopping centers, public bus system and taxis have facilities for individuals with disabilities. But many stores in the old downtown area in Reykjavik, such as around the popular shopping street of Laugavegur, are not wheelchair accessible.
15.Off-road driving is strictly prohibited in Iceland and can incur fines of up to $2000. If you drive on a road that the Icelandic authorities have marked as closed or impassable, and then become stuck, you may incur fines of up to $1500 for emergency assistance.
